Rose & David Modern Classic Wedding Day

Rose and David were married at Offley Place in the our manor house conservatory on the 28th May 2022. The pair met through mutual friends when they were in sixth form in 2011, fast forward ten years time to a boiling hot day at their favourite place: Sherrardswoods. Under the guise of a simple dog walk and pub lunch, Rose accompanied David on a stroll where he got down on one knee in the middle of the woods, in a lovely secluded location and popped the big question! When Rose said yes and they were officially engaged, the couple carried on to the local pub where they were greeted by all of their friends and family, prosecco at the ready, to celebrate with them.

Just under a year later the couple find themselves at Offley Place getting married! They were attracted to our venue as they had seen some people they know get married at Offley Place before and knew they had to have it. Natasha got in touch with one of them and they had such a glowing review that the pair booked a tour around our venue and loved it!

Their ceremony was held in the conservatory with just over 100 people; the Hester Ballroom then hosted their evening reception to just over 140 guests. In the evening the venue was dressed with a nod to the greatest festival on earth- Glastonbury. The tables were named after the stages and colourful ribbons strung from the ceiling to really bring the space to life. A huge sign in the ground with the couples new surname completed the decor. For their meal they opted for the terrine starter, roast lamb for their main, and the mouthwatering honeycomb cheesecake to finish. So many of their guests commented on how lovely the food was! At the start of the evening a live singer entertained their many guests, as well as doing their first dance; a DJ then took over to continue the party on into the evening. The dance floor

was packed out with their guests dancing the night away all evening, except for quick pit stops to the evening buffet to refuel!

For the big day, David wore a three piece custom grey suit by Suit Supply in London, while his groomsmen wore a two piece suit. We love this idea of matching suits but having that one element that singles out the groom! Rose opted for a rose lacing pattern dress from Grace Loves Lace, this was a stunning figure hugging backless dress and she just looked amazing! The bridesmaids each chose their preferred style of dress from Rewritten, and matched in the same oyster colour which perfectly complimented the groomsmen’s grey suits.

The couples loved their whole day from start to finish, but in particular the private moment they shared after the ceremony and before the confetti shot, was just a special stand out moment for them both. After the big day the couple jetted off for their safari honeymoon in Tanzania!

From engagement to wedding day, the couple only had 10 months to plan their wedding. This may seem like a daunting

task for some but with regular check ins from the Offley Place wedding team, the couple breezed through the process. They chose suppliers from our recommended suppliers list as these are Offley Place tried and tested! The couple really enjoyed the menu tasting evening in particular. On the big day, the Offley Place staff made sure to take any stress out of the day. When asked to give some advice to newly engaged couples, Rose and David say “The wedding organising process is as stressful as you make it. Take it in your stride and enjoy it because you will feel lost once it’s over!”.
